My Kona Dew E with a Shimano Steps motor came up with the dreaded E010 error at just a year old with 2500 miles on the clock. This happened several time and cleared by switching on and off, however the day after, and far from home, the same error, and the motor refused to work, and it wouldn't clear..
Anyway to cut a long story short, my bike has now been in the Local Bike Shop for 8 weeks awaiting a warranty claim from Madison. The computer diagnosis came up with a "speed sensor" error, which is a very low cost part, ( time will tell if that will fix it) How can the service from Shimano be so terrible? surely, warranty claims should be sorted out a hell of a lot quicker. I'll certainly never buy a bike with a Shimano motor on it again! I don't know what Bosch service is like, but it really can't be as bad as Shimano.
Any one had similar waits for warranty claims?
