Speaking of extra battery. Has anyone had any luck ordering a more powerful battery for their XP. I noticed these on Ali Express for under 400. Which of these listed would be compatible with the XP?

Not sure which would work. If you're going to carry an extra battery anyway, the Lectric is only $269. I understand it's not huge on the amp hour rating but 2 of them would surely give anyone all the mileage they could take for a day.Speaking of extra battery. I'd be interested in a conversion where the key was only needed to remove the battery like my other brand bike and not necessary to leave in the slot to run the bike.

Its just ordering a replacement battery is usually from Aliexpress and then you really have no guarantee of the battery working as it should, you can't ship it back...thats for sure.
I've found a similar frame'd ebikes on amazon with higher spec'd replacement batteries that were going for a decent chunk of change (I think it was 350-400), which is why I suspect most are even hesitant 'try' (since its not specifically for the Lectric, as in, sold for the Lectric) to replace.

I sent the link to Lectric to get their opinion. I wouldnt be surprised if they discouraged or offered no comment. What I would like to see is a review from somebody on the Aliexpress outfit selling the battery that used it for an XP. Somebody has had to try and install a 17.5 AH battery by now. I think it comes stock with 10.5...

Not an expert but I believe a higher ah battery like that would also need a higher amp controller.
they make these folding bikes that come with what you're after but then it all comes back to $899....can't touch one for that.

Yeah, here is the note I received back from Lectric after I inquired about Aliexpress battery. I guess I stay with the 10.4
We do not recommend using that. Our bikes are meant for the 10.4 amp. Obviously you are welcome to purchase it if you do but it would void your warranty if that battery caused any damage to the bike and its performance.

Son added new front and rear hydraulic brakes, front suspension, new handlebars and took off the fenders. It is harder to fold now, but after a 30 minute ride today, it is much more stable and handles bumps and dips much better. Nice! Why did you switch to hydraulic brakes? Current brakes not good?

Today I rode 21 miles on my XP and my battery was pretty much drained. The final voltage was about 41.8 to 42 and the power was super weak at that point. Now I think 21 miles is actually not too bad considering I weigh 195 lbs, rode a lot of steep hills, had about extra 10 lbs in my panniers...
