I have ridden bikes most of my life, now 65 so trying out e-bike by buying a used bike from a man in his 80's who had never ridden before. He got scared by the cars and rode less than 100 miles. It stayed in his garage until i bought it. 2013 Bosch 45 motor; so I discovered it is a speed pedelec. It has a Powerpack 400 battery so may be limited for long rides; can I upgrade battery or add a range extender to this old tech?

Have you taken it out for a ride. At that age I would be concerned about battery capacity (and function).
