Riding around in my Rook with no battery.

Long story...our bikes arrived last week...but, the batteries don't arrive till later this week.

So, we decided to try riding them as is...without the batteries.

Was pleasantly surprised with how well they are doing.

So far have put around 30 miles of riding on our local 'Rails to trails' trail and my wife enjoys it better then her old bike.

SO...if you ever wandered if you could ride these without a battery...now you have that answer.

Hi David. Thanks for the comments about riding your bikes without a batteries.

We received our new Surface604 Colt and Shred bikes a week ago (without batteries, of course). So, we've been riding them around the neighborhood a bit. I very much like the fit and feel of them, but ascending a mild hill it a real workout. The increased weight plus the smaller range of gears compared to our old 27 speed bikes is very noticeable. Happily, UPS just let us know that our batteries will arrive tomorrow . Can't wait. Rich
