Not sure if I am looking in the right place, but under the parts and accessories there is hardly anything there, just batteries, fenders and trailer and such.
My question is, where would one buy parts that wear out or break for this bike over time? Example, hangers, wheels etc?
Here's my take. It's hit and miss. Best is looking at what other users confirm works.
What Machine and what parts ? Throttles; Shifters; Ring Gear; Bash Plate; Head/ Seat-post; Handlebars etc., Electronics; Brakes, etc; shifter; derailer; chain and such are commonly available.
Without knowing what machine, no telling your PAS, but again they're pretty mundane fitments. Even changing from 'torque' type to 'cadence' is not that hard IF your display has the software; the display; controller; motor etc. stuff is all interchangeable -- if you have a bit of knowledge, understanding and micrometer to accurately determine parts dimensions (Digital Mic I have cost $25 on EBay)
I found out the hard way to NEVER Trust published specs. Always verify and you'll be happy you did.
Torque arms, racks and high-end fastener hardware (Titanium) I've discussed at (verbose) length. The front rack I settled on required a skewer change, but rocks. The "Delivery (Pizza size) Type" was top-heavy
and required longer skewers + I had to make a bushing out of teflon tubing.
After basic size requirements, (I found) racks are pretty universal fit.
Pedal and arms; wheels and tires are stock dimensions and common.
For me, 'Bike Shops' - choke, gag - are a $$$ wasting idea for
's, it's less costly and far more productive to buy well researched, quality parts that others are using successfully. I'd rather invest my limited $$$ in the best and still pay less than using a middleman and buying at retail priced items they get the best markup on, and my first goal is to be certain it's done right ... but I like to build stuff, so for me it's entertaining -- not terrifying.
My goal is to 'build' a bike it would cost $10,000.00 to purchase from a dealer - on a $4 - 6,000.00 budget. I'm right at the $4k mark. Next is a $1000ish Fox Shock, which I'll shop ruthlessly for and install myself.
I don't want to 'own' a bike it would cost $4000.00 to duplicate, but cost $10,000.00 in parts and labor to have a shop build/ maintain.
In the end, after I install the fork I'll take it to a bike shop guy here in town to tune up the shifter, brakes and spokes, and verify the bike is mechanically correct.
The Electronics are another matter. I'm getting a tester and researching compatible controllers.
In the end, 1) Buffed and stripped down for summer days, 2) or full fendered and lit for winter nights will also dictate the parts you want/ need. 0, Just don't buy the Blinker Fluid.
See photos.
BTW, you sure hit-the-nail-on-the-head, your comment about constant controller failure/ repair service provider suspicions.
