It was always too heavy, too big, and too expensive of a motor/kit/combination.
Tariff's didn't do them in, but tariffs will probably affect a lot more of the weaker players in 2019, so don't be surprised if you see more like BionX go under. Still too many brands and models coming on line, with too small of market in the US to support that many. No clear player or players are dominating, as lots of improvements yet to come.
