Reset Distance

Does anyone know how to rest distance and riding time? I’ve googled and not found anything.

On my levo which I know is different I just hold down the “-“ button for a few seconds and the trip resets.
What bike model?
What Display model?

I'm disappointed with the way they implemented distance field. There is no way to have it match Ride distance from Specialized app or just the odometer from first ride (that I found).

To me it's very inconsistent & tedious to need to manually reset distance with handlebar controller AND start a ride within Specialized app.

Speaking of, when is auto start coming back to Rides like we had on Mission Control? Maybe then I'll start resetting distance :)

That's one thing that's pretty clever about the Bosch setup: It automatically records everything, and automatically considers each day a new trip unless you set it up otherwise.

I'd hate that. Complete control and hardly any opportunity for the user to control the matters themselves. Even if I do not use Specialized App's 'Ride' option, I would have never switched the "Auto-End" on. What does an app or hardware know of my activities and preferences?

For instance: I set off for a ride but forgot my helmet, and have to go back home to grab it. "Auto Start" has been already on. I stop to take a rest (or do grocery shopping) and now what? The ride ended automatically? Or, I ride with the motor off. No recorded activity?

Bosch: So I go for a two-day race, taking several stops and overnight stay. Why should I care of setting the system so my whole ride is recorded?
Specialized App: Whenever I use the 'Ride' option, I have to check the App whether it reconnected to the e-bike after I have returned from my stop. In most cases, I forget doing so, the App hadn't reconnected, and the ride data are lost.

It is so different to my Wahoo. I just have it connected to my Specialized e-bike, push START and forget the thing. Auto-Stop works like a charm. The device automatically reconnects to the e-bike whenever I start the e-bike system. The ride is completed when I push STOP - END RIDE. Only the overnight stay is problematic, as I need to connect the Wahoo to the charger and keep it on, so the ride is not automatically terminated after 6 hours of inactivity.

I was for 26 h 48 min in the race. I don't think Bosch or the Specialized App would be capable of doing what my Wahoo did.

I treat Specialized rides as a highly featured bike odometer, and I want to it to be very light touch and record everything. This is why it sounds like I would like the Bosch app.

And neither Bosch or Specialized prevents me from using additional app(s) in parallel for special rides, which I do depending on what I'm doing.

I use bike primarily for commuting (and I want bike to record everything / every ride automatically), followed by high intensity workouts where I track primarily health metrics in other apps (big Vado without assist does a great job getting HR up without riding too fast :) ), and then I do leisure rides where I use other apps to explore new routes (I'm currently enjoying Cyclers for 15-40 mile rides from my house. I can define preferred surfaces, climbs, traffic, distance etc for quick route creation).

Luckily no issues here with Spec app's auto end / pause /restart, it works quite well for me ... still want auto start though!
