Replacing the ebike

Thinking of replacing the Mukkpet Ninja with a Ride1up Revv1. Anyone with experience w/ the Revv1?

Buy yourself something good. Something that is a bicycle not a mini motorcycle. Otherwise you will replace one pile of scrap metal with another.

I think there are so many derivatives of this bike style its unlikely anyone has come across the exact model, the price puts it well above super cheap garbage and Ive seen models like this being battered around without failure.
The drivetrain is the standard 1000w hub which has proven to be perfectly reliable when not overcooked, they are being realistic about range and the battery is UL certified.
Nothing but good reviews on youtube, but its not a bike for long rides as peddling doesnt increase the range much and without the motor is a chore.
Super Seven copy

You really had bad luck with your broken frame (that was you, right)? I think if I were you I’d try to get some joy from the manufacturer, but if you’re gonna’ replace, it depends on what kind of bike you are looking for.

I have nothing against a moped ebikes so I'll chime in. Reach out to Ride1Up with a simple question and see what kind of, or even if, you get a reply. I always get a Juiced vibe from Ride1Up but that's just me (I hope). I like the idea of customer support should I need it. No Support/No Purchase is my motto. I have a cheap RadRunner 2 now and my local Rad dealer is around 2 miles from my house. Anyways, back to epeds. I like the Revv 1 full suspension but would settle for the hard tail model. I like the mag wheels but have read something about the freewheel stripping off the mag wheels hub. Strange.

Let us know what you end up buying!

Both of these are DTC ebikes so support is already limited. I've never heard of Mukkpet so there's that. Ride1Up I've obviously heard of but I always get a Juiced vibe from them. So reach out with a simple question and see what type of response you get.

very salient reply,if you want an emoped get one-get one that costs 2-3 x more from a shop and I sincerely believe durability shall be satisfied the cookie cutter DTC bikes are always a gamble,of the cheaper brands with dealer support ecotric for instance can be somewhat satisfying maxfoot are pretty responsive to issues, some of these DTC vendors are crickets.

My local ebike dealer has this Segway Xyber emoped looking thing that just says "Hey police, pull me over!". It looks just like a small dirt bike, like the Surrons. I have to have a step-thru ebike. I can't be tossing my leg over a ebike every time I get on or off it, just not gonna happen. That's partly why I didn't consider one when looking for a commuter.

Something to factor into your calculation...

The Revv1's 1000W of continuous power disqualifies it as a legal ebike in many states. That makes it a motor vehicle subject to a very different set of laws.

To operate the Revv1 legally on public roads in these states, it would have to be registered and insured, and the operator would need a valid driver's license. It would also be banned from any bikeway or trail closed to cars — including bike lanes.

E-motorcycles and e-mopeds like the Revv1, Surron, Super73, and Xyber got away with passing for legal ebikes for years, but several states are cracking down now, California included. The threat of confiscation here in Carlsbad, CA is very real now — especially for teens under driving age.
