Hi,
New here not sure exactly where this should go but I have a lot of trouble finding a fork for my bike that works with the electric bike conversion kit. My original bike which is about 2 years old now is a hyrbrid "specialized sirrus sport disc M". The conversion kit I purchased recently is "http://dillengerelectricbikes.co.uk...bike-kit-samsung-power-13ah-by-dillenger.html"
When I first got the kit the wheel was not fitting into the drop outs on my current fork. Looking online apparently filing down is an accepted method to fix this, so that's what I did. Within 1 day of use the drop outs snapped.
So I am currently in the market for a new fork. Purchased one I thought would fit but seems to need a bit of filing down for that to work. And I'm currently very sceptical about doing that again. The fork currently sitting with me is 9mm, the wheel appears to be 10mm.
Trying to find the perfect fork online is proving difficult as they never have all the measurements. The few times I come across one that lists 10mm drop outs its listed as a BMX bike.
Really hope someone can help me find a fork, or a way to get the wheel on without worry of it breaking during use.
Other potentially important information
1 1/8" steerer (roughly 240mm long)
700c wheel
disc break (160 - 8, 4C, F)
Thanks
