Has anyone been able to remove the twist throttle on easy motion electric bikes? When I do the system wont boot, throws an error.

What year and model bike? What error code are you getting?

I will unscrew the throttle cable on mine and let you know if same thing happens.

Yes,same result, “17” ! As soon as I reconnect the cable all is okay. Don’t Know further on how to remove it w/o getting the error. I guess on this newer models it can’t Be done ?

Maybe removing the cable from the controller port side would work ?
If it’s b/c of the road legal issue laws regarding. ebikes with throttle, just remove the throttle from handlebar and ziptie it somewhere around the front area....

Was doing it because i want to use full size ergo grips. I may just move the throttle to the left of the brake and shift. This way its out of the way, but there if ever needed.

My 2013 Neo model came with ergo grips, though I don't know what "full size" may mean. We do need ergo grips, but moving your throttle is surely better than removing it. I don't use it often, but I sure wouldn't choose to do without it.
