Moving to Thirsk in the next 3 months
I am 76 year old who is shortly moving back to North Yorkshire from a enjoyable 26 year of living in Ireland.
Since I was 17 when I first purchased a motor bike followed 3 years later by a car I have never owned a push bike.
I had the opportunity a few days ago to purchase secondhand, an almost new E-TOTEM 20 inch wheel folding pedal assisted 250w e-bike.
Whilst appreciating this bike is at the very lowest end of the e-bike range it should provide me with assisted transport from my new home to the centre of Thirsk (a small market town) a distance of just over a mile. This mode of transport will along with saving money also in a very small way reduce my carbon footprint. I will also use it to visit family and friends who live locally for as long as I feel safe on the road.
I look forward to reading posts and possibly contributing to this forum.
Hope your all have good day, everyday.

welcome!
hope the ebike is great for you and look forward to hearing your experiences with it, not sure if we get that one in the US

Welcome to the ebike addiction center!😉
Make sure you get (and wear) a helmet and a mirror. Best of luck!

Welcome Vincent to the new world of biking, a great alternative to short car hops. These bikes are highly addictive not only for business, but also for fun. They can be addictive. We’d love to see some photos of your bike and the scenic travels that you make. Good luck, ride safe and responsibly

Welcome to EBR, and congratulations on trying something new at your (our) age. Many of us bought our eBikes after decades of not riding at all. The change is good, but older bodies don't heal very quickly, so ride safe...helmet, mirror, and a paranoid attitude about traffic all help.
