Raleigh stow e way brake adjustment

Hi, my wife has a Raleigh stow e way electric bike and I’m trying to adjust the rear v brakes for her, which are rubbing against the rim. The handbook shows the Allen key location to loosy the pads & that’s fine, but to reposition them? Unclear
It says to loosen the nut at the back, well there isn’t one and I’ve tried all ways unsuccessfully. Thanks, David

Modern rim brakes tend to have springs in them to back off the pads. You adjust the screws pushing against these springs to even out how the two pads back off, so that neither is touching. Of course if there is not enough slack in the cable adjustment, both will touch.
