Check the diameter of your steerer tube for a proper fit. The standard is 1 1/8". Also make sure you have enough slack in your control cables for the new handlebar position.
I am 6'2" and used the below extender on my Aventon Level and they raised it enough to get the weight off my wrists and hands. Easy to install. I agree double check the tube diameters.
