Radrunner Inner Tube

Just got two radrunners for my wife and I. Was having a blast for about a week with less than 10 miles on one when a tire blew. Radrunner Support has not responded back to me and all the 20x4's are out of stock everywhere I look. Anyone else have issues with the blowing tubes. The tires were inflated to 28 PSI. This is exactly why I was against it when Rad Power decided to use proprietary 22 inch tire for new RadWagon.
The new RadWagon owners will be stranded.

Good suggestion... keep in mind that most bike mechanics are fine with using a tube that is within 2" of the rim diameter.

I.E... using a 20" tube on a 22" wheel or 26" tube on a 27.5" wheel. Obviously tires must be an exact fit with the rim diameter.

Doing this with tubes is not a problem. I've run 26" tubes in 650B/27.5 tires and 650B/27.5 tubes in 29" tires and never had an issue. I think the industry will always tell you not do something that may reduce their revenue streams. Let common sense prevail over the bean counters.

That's obviously not recommended. Maybe you can force it to make it fit in emergency, but that's no ideal.
Even within 2 inch difference, such as 22" and 26" you can clearly see the difference.

Nonsense... bike mechanics do this all the time with absolutely no issues.
Have you ever inflated an inner tube without the tire... it expands 2-3X.
When we EMTB, we usually carry a standard 26" tube to fit all tire sizes in our group... YMMV

yeah I have, and I'm not a big fan of expanding tubes.

For example, I use 29 x 1.75-2.1 tube for 700C x 38 tire.

I have had bad experience getting flat tires by stretching the tube. So I tend to over-size the tube, not the other way around.

Over-sizing a tube can lead to kinks in the tube which will crack/wear right on the kink line. Kind of creating an inside the tire pinch flat situation.

I wouldn't try putting a 700c x 25mm tube into a 29 x 2.8" tire because that's a lot of stretch but the diameter of rim going from 26 to 29 isn't much. This is where some of the confusion lies (tube width diameter or the actual rim OD).

Question for you: I am awaiting my eAhora XC100 from Amazon. It comes with 26x2.0 tires and I've already purchased 2 Maxxis Hookworm 26x2.5. Yesterday I picked up a 2-pack of Slime heavy duty 26x1.75-2.125 inner tubes (great deal on 2-pack - $12.96).

So is that a good pairing of the Maxxis Hookworms with those inner tubes?

(The tires/tubes from the XC100 will go on my wife's Schwinn Meridian trike which is now electrified.)
