I was leaning towards the radmission, but I found the ncm moscow from leoncycles which looks pretty nice.

Is this a good company that will stay around for a while? Is this ebike good quality?

which would you pick between the radmission and the ncm moscow?

Look at the known problems threads of the brand forums: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/categories/discussion-by-brand-user-reviews.168/
Rad has 12 pages of known problems. I've seen other cases of Rad loose spokes in introductions & a cracked wheel in parts forums. NCM has 9 pages of known problems. In view of Rad's large market share, perhaps Rad is a less bad bicycle than NCM. OTOH the last page of NCM is about loose cover screws on the hub motor, which is a problem that can be improved with thread locker on the screws.
Neither brand has the low problems counts of trek or gazelle. Both cost a lot less than those two. Trek & gazelle come with dealer supported warrenties. Rad & NCM, you are the repairman, unless you pay somebody like velofix.

This idea of checking out the number of "known problems" on a brand is not a bad one, but when looking at the number of them alone, especially one like RAD who has been selling thousands and thousands of bikes for years, and comparing that number to a relatively unknown company, well, I find any comparison a huge stretch. It would only make sense that RAD would have MANY more complaints. They have sold WAY WAY more bikes....

That said, I'm looking at the ncm moscow from leoncycles on their website, and the first 2 things I see would both be show stoppers for me. The first is the picture of the motor - which is clearly marked 250 watts. That, and it's an off-brand motor. Then there's the kickstand, which has been located in a position where the bike can only be pulled back a foot or 2. There's very little patience on my part for idiotic engineering like that, especially when the rest of the world has moved to designs where fouling the kickstand with a pedal is impossible.

I bought an NCM Moscow. I had the motor crap out after 60 days, called Leon Cycles who asked me to make a video so they could justify it with NCM, and they sent a replacement right away. That's good customer service right there.

I burnt out the brakes in about 90 days - wish I got the Plus version as I put about $500 into repairs...and sure wish I had hydraulic brakes. I live in San Diego and RAD is setting up an office here so that would affect my perspective towards them, but I think no matter which you choose you will have fun. They are pretty close.

Timpo's post above are all the same exact bike (at least the frame is the same). So you would be fine with any. My next bike is going to be a Watt Wagons Hydra. The NCM was a learning and my "make sure I will ride" personal litmus test.

I think this question depends on one´s age, decree of fitness, & venue of use. I like both, but i ride a moscow
turned 3235 mi. today. Couple popped spokes, some flats. I have put on a new chain & brake pads, the
rear at 2800, the front day before yesterday. Bear in mind I do not ride in an urban setting & usually ride but a
little faster than I did a road bike, 12 to 14 mph on average. I´m in no great hurry to be someplace at 72. I
like the way it climbs. Itś an electric ´80s mtn. bike. The frame is indeed on at least 5 outfit´s bikes. The
configurations vary widely. My motor has improved after breakin-in. The gears did whine some at 1st.
One thing though, those bikes have interchangeable batteries. I have 2 left over from my first, now parts bike
that cost more than twice as much as the NCM, which is a much sturdier bike.
Just get one of these:

It is true; one should have a basic knowledge of repair & maintenance with the NCM. It does need to
be kept tuned in optimum working order just as any auto. If not, there are loads of tutorial on Utube.
Read & use the manual, come here with questions.

The moscow motor is a German Das Kit 500w. For me it has performed exceptionally well thus far for 3235 miles.
I did replace the kickstand with a dbl. leg stand & a rear mount as well. The dbl leg makes maintenance easier.
Some of NCM´s other EU models are 250w.

Aventon?

I don't think so.. not only the frame is different, I think they're powered by Bafang, not Daskit.
My moscow most definitely has a 500w Das Kit motor. I don´t know what motors are in the other bikes.
I may be wrong, but I thought I saw a gray Aventon that seemed to have the same frame a couple years
back.
P.S. Just looked up the Aventon . You´re right, the frame profile is extremely similar to the moscow, but is
indeed different.
