Rad City / Juiced CrossCurrent S / Other?

Looking for guidance. New to eBikes. $2,000 to $2,500 budget. Usage will be 10 to 20 mile round trips. Primarily paved roads, rail trails, hard packed dirt and some gravel. Running errands in a Midwest vacation town. No winter riding. Hilly with some inclines that are too tough to pedal on a standard (non motorized) bike. Not a fat tire fan due to the poor rolling resistance. Like to ride slightly upright. Balanced between forward and upright. Initially was looking at Rad City 2018. Seems to have many nice features. After more research I like the upgraded speed/motor and braking of the CrossCurrent S. I would upgrade the tires on either of these. Thoughts? Other options? Thanks in advance.

RipCurrent is a pretty good deal, the basic one. Not all fat tires have poor rolling resistance (but they will never be as low as reg. MTB tires) and going over different types of terrain would benefit from cushy fats - Either way, the tires on the Radcity and Rip are garbage and need to be replaced.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.

Few people are aware of this brand but they are very nice bikes with excellent performance (the hub motor has advantages at high speeds vs a mid drive but few talk about it) but check out Power In Motion eBikes on pimbicycles.com. The Archer would be a good pick for your needs. I ride a Polaris Diesel which was essentially the same bike but branded for a while by Polaris.

I have a diesel and terrain and both are excellent eBikes (now PIM as you mentioned), the only real negative I have is batteries are low capacity. 10aH I think is absolute minimum for an ebike today.

I have a CCS and replaced the handlebars and stem. I have a shorter stem and a Jones Hbar… My ride is super comfrotable. Any bike with a flat bar…without an adjustable stem you won't really be upright without some modifications.
