Question on lights and regeneration, ST1 Elite

I'm a new owner of a 2018 ST1 Elite, US version. It came with the fenders and lights (B+M Lumotec). The lights come on when the bike is on, and there doesn't appear to be a way to turn them off, or to change from a day mode to a night mode. Is that correct, or is there a switch I'm just not seeing?

I live in a place that's very flat. Is cannot feel any difference when I turn regen on or off. Is it supposed to "come on" when I brake, using the motor instead of the brake pads to slow? Or is it only for downhills (which I don't have)?

In my 2016 ST1 the regen (recuperation as they called it) began only from 70% of the battery and below, unlike my newer ST1 X, where there is a little recup already at 99%.

If you want to change the strength of recup, it can be configured via code 1011. The default is 5 (iirc), I found 17 to be the optimum. It can go up to 50, I think. You can find how to enter the configuration mode in this forum, I think you need to hold On and + buttons for 3 seconds or something like this.

only one of the brake levers has regen feature. Look at the brake lever carefully. There will be another cable next to the hydraulic hose. This is the signal cable that activates the regen.
What @antimirov mentioned is correct. ST1 lineup has quite different hardware/firmware compared to ST2. Regen kicks in somewhere around 70%.

Supernova light had a button so you could turn it on and off but I don't think B&M has any such button, unfortunately.
