Power cut off on 700

My 1 yr old 700 will have a complete power failure whether just re-starting a ride after a 15 minute break or sometimes during a ride and starting up a steep hill. The display shuts off and no power for several hours. Been going back and forth with Ride1up service but so far no solutions. Anyone else ever have a similar issue?

Battery? Controller? I've never had that happen to my 2 year old 700. Would not be happy, though.

Hmm, one year old battery. I think that might be the newer version with 21700 cells. Sounds like low voltage cut-off.

How does the bike act when the battery is fully charged?

Maybe @kdugger has more info.
