The 7Anna Group of Poland, the owner of Rondo, NS Bikes, Creme and Octane One brands has just filed for bankruptcy protection.

I can remember how @Rás Cnoic was excited about the Rondo's "revolutionary" ideas. If I'm not wrong, @PedalUma was delighted with the beauty of Creme. You do not win the market by the revolutionary or beautiful products: You win by making products that people will like to buy.

As of this writing, the strongest bicycle brand of Poland is KROSS. KROSS is not making revolutionary or particularly beautiful bicycles and e-bikes. They make what people want to buy. They developed a large network of LBS and dealers. They invest in marketing. They don't sell online but by own dealers (who must not sell any other brand). They do understand the business.

A KROSS Evado 6.0. Not e-, not a Vado :) An inexpensive simple product that is easy to maintain. That's what sells. On the other hand, KROSS can make a high-end carbon gravel bike, or decent mid-drive motor e-bikes based on Shimano or, well, domestically made Bafang.
