Please help find a handlebar bag capable of carrying a standard size camera

Stefan, I realise you're ok riding with that noose around your neck. We're just trying to offer options because , well, we suspect you'll adapt one of our suggestions and come up with something truly inspirational.

Soooooo.......

Modified quick release tripod mount on custom machined head-stem spacer ? You'll have to decide between carbon vs titanium , perhaps both? Hopefully whoever you get to build it can whip up a basic version for the rest of us.....

Damn...now I've slipped down the rabbit hole

I wonder if this will fit the rails on a bottle holder or under the seat?

The travel photography is the "catch (the subject) as fast as you can" @PDoz :) After you ride couple of metres farther, the scene is not the same you saw it several seconds before. You see a wading bird; the bird suddenly starts flying; no time to unpack the bag.

I might make an exception for one of my e-bikes (it might be the Trance) that has a very clean cockpit. I might carry the Pentax K1 with a very lightweight lens (called Plastic Fantastic) in a handlebar bag. The camera is large and heavy but I could see several interesting options in this thread, thank you all for your help.

Now, PDoz, this is one of the reasons I've bought the RX100:

@David Berry might be interested, too.
