Anyone have a good way to haul a bike in the bed of a pick up without scratching the bike or know of a bike rack that will work on a pick up truck?

I own 2 Thule Insta-gater racks. Safe, stable and secure. I like having the bikes in the bed, the bikes stay cleaner when I have a few hundred miles to travel and it leaves the hitch free for other duties. I purchased both from Amazon.
