Thanks so much for this test, really interesting observation. I believe that the biggest selling point of the mid-drive is that it allows using an internal hub shifter (such as nuvinci, alfine etc) paired with carbon gates belt. Having a mid-drive with a classic chain and derailleur makes no sense to me.

Can there be worst place to mount a battery ? Tops out at 18 ? LOL! Ride a Bafang Ultra powered mid drive and get back with me.

I'll look forward to your video. My H has a Pedego CC and they had a mid-drive in stock when he got it. The dealer very strongly recommended the hub drive as a better performer for my H's purposes.
