Hey, I'm new to this forum. I just bought a couple REALLY nice S-Works and Specialized ebikes that are in the For Sale section, but I was checking in here to see if I'm missing info on the City Scrambler.
I bought the two "nice" ebikes thinking I'd sell the Scrambler. But I got them and they're too nice for me. I like something a little bit more gritty that I don't have to keep looking "new." And the City Scrambler is that.
I've had it for about a year and a half and have several hundred miles on it. I love it. It's been solid and reliable, but I've always wondered about modding / hacking.
I've got a bigger chainring on front, which helps at speed, but I really need to drop to the 11 tooth freewheel to really get the speed I want. Also, I don't have the "off road" electronics, but I was wondering if there were any other boxes that I could swap out? This thing seems to have a ton of power, I'd just like to be able to say "I don't need a 60 mile range, I'm only going 10 miles... but I want to do it as fast as possible." Is that even a thing?
