On tour: Seeking bike shop recommendations from Ohioans

Greetings all,

I am on a self-supported tour on a RM Charger NuVinci from the DC Metro area (College Park, MD). Normally, the route to PGH is fairly flat via the C&O Towpath and the GAP, but the flooding and its aftermath made for mountainous detours. More of the same while getting out of the Appalachian foothills in OH. The mountain trekking + trailer have taken their toll on my rear brake pads. Looking for bike shop recommendations in the Akron/Cleveland area or in between on my way to Elyria. Does not need to be an e-bike shop but ideally should not be fazed by disconnecting NuVinci cables, removing carbon belt, and would likely have Deore brake pads in stock. I have a spare set but would prefer not to use them unless absolutely necessary. Thanks!

I should add: any shop along the North Coast Inland Trail as well. I a already familiar with the shop in Fremont from a previous tour, but probably don’t want to wait that long.

There is Electric Pete’s E Bikes on South Main Street in Akron. They are not far from the canel trail that goes from Akron to Cleveland. Obviously you are past Pittsburgh where there are a few great shops. On your return trip let me know and I will buy you lunch in Pittsburgh

Thanks so much! Yes, well past PGH (which I love to visit). Picked up the Montour, then the Panhandle, then made it into Ohio ...
