Hello Stromer Friends.
Well, I just bought an ST5. Total dream machine. No issues yet, except the battery ejection does not work. The menu comes up and when I press the "Battery Eject" in the lower right-hand corner, I do hear a click. Then I press the side button, to eject, and nada.
Just wondering if that sounds familiar to anyone?
The dealer is closed until Tuesday, so I thought I'd see if anyone else solved this problem. I can still charge the battery while its on the bike. Unfortunately, I cannot transport the bike, as I cannot get the battery out.
I'd much rather have a battery ejection problem then "my-whole-motor-died" problem. . . or dare I type it . . . flat tyre.
Many blessings . . . remain calm and ride on!!!
UPDATE: Everyone that responded gave excellent answers. . . thank you. It turns out "Insider" was correct. I didn't realize how much force you had to put on the down tube button in order to eject the battery. It is not a soft touch. However, the other inputs were super helpful and good information to know. I will now be more vigilant when putting the battery in and taking it out. I typically only remove it if transfer is necessary. Thanks to all!
