Hi,
I am in So. Cal. I just bought my first ebike, a Juiced CCX. At 67 years old I haven’t been on a bike in two decades so I thought an ebike would help me ease back into it. I like my CCX a lot but have to admit that setup is not great out of the box. Power was better than I was expecting and now that it is set up correctly I am enjoying it.

Welcome aboard! Ebikes were a way back into cycling for a lot of us old guys. You'll fit right in.

Hello and welcome,
You're 67...That makes you you a young'un, I'm 77 and have ridden e-bikes for 6+ years. Getting out and riding is pure joy !
Just like the first time six years ago. I'm glad you checked in. Please return often.
All the best,
John

Hi guys
Unfortunately a week after introducing myself I did something stupid. I sideswiped an iron fence at 22mph and went down hard. I broke my right collarbone and separated my left shoulder and sprained my mcl. I’ve been recovering since and haven’t been able to ride. I should be back on my bike soon and will be much more careful this time.

Yeah, you got to be careful on two wheels. And an ebike makes it even worse. You would think that idiots like me would realize that bar hopping on an ebike is a very bad idea! Last Saturday my Huffy Oslo decided to go into a blackberry bush. My hide was suitably ripped. You think I learned my lesson?

I have taken a few spills since buying my first ebikes in 2020, but nothing major. I also rarely go 22 these days. I've noticed my average speed around 15 on my daily pleasure cruises. Due to some rare rainfall and flooding in our area, patches of sand have created a couple of whoopsie moments on rides as of late. I ride in shorts and dont want a scraped knee these days...

Hi there,

Glad to hear you're enjoying your new Juiced CCX! It's great that you're getting back into biking. Since you're exploring e-bikes, you might also want to check out the Zen Photon. It offers a top speed of 28 Mph, a 1040 Wh battery for up to 85 miles range, and a powerful 500W motor with 120Nm torque. Plus, there's a fantastic offer going on: free shipping in the USA and Canada. In the USA, it's now just $2999, down from $3799, and in Canada, it's reduced to $CAD 3999 from $CAD 4899. You can reserve yours with a partial payment and pay the rest on shipment. The Zen Photon could be a great addition to your e-biking experience!

I have a lot of respect for Zen ebikes, but this is brazen unsolicted, unwelcome advertising.

The guy just bought a new Juiced ebike. What are the odds that he's ready to buy another from Zen? Or that we want to sift through advertising disguised as posts in discussion threads?

Not a good marketing move.
