Hi Everyone. I'm new to ebiking, just picked up my Haibike Sduro Trekking 9.0 three weeks ago from San Diego Fly Rides. I am loving this bike!

Before the eBike, I had been mountain biking since the mid 80's, and have always had a bike since my first Schwinn Sting Ray.

I am a vet, spent 12 years on Camp Pendleton as a Navy Corpsman, biking on many Jeep trails there. Now I'm an IT consultant so the ebike is vital to get me off my keester and out exercising.

I've also done a lot of hiking here in So Cal, and next year my wife and I are moving to Bend, Oregon where I hope my Haibike becomes our second car.

Cheers and thanks to the admins for letting me join.

Welcome to the site. Congratulations on your purchase.
We vets do tend to stay active, don't we. I intend to use electricity to stretch my range from 30 miles a day at 8 mph (no wind) to 60 miles (whatever the wind). I'm probably older and slower than you since I ride upright like Mary Poppins.
Nice scenery out there, both places. Not too bad here either, of course.

Hi! Welcome to the EBR community. What's your name? I don't feel comfortable calling you OldNSlow :D. I'm a native San Diegan who's now living on the East coast, so I get excited when I see someone from home.

It's Larry, but I am truly Old And Slow! Actually got that nickname from my autocross days!

So far I'm loving the bike, but probably would have gotten a size lower. No modular accessories yet. I added a Kinekt seat post and just got a Banjo Bros market pannier.

Also still fiddling around with the handlebar and stem, I have flopped the stem over to the -12 degree side to adjust for the riser bar.
