I'm 66 and got an M2S AT750, 29x3 wheels, with 16ahr power. Traded my 35 yr old Fuji road bike in for nothing...
Received mail-order bike with some minor assembly required. I added front bar bag, collapsible rear baskets which have carried firewood, beer n heavy cargo.
Early on a creaking noise happened with hard peddling. A FB user group member suggested tighten pedals which fixed issue.
I've put 1,700 miles on it....mostly gravel SRT in Berks, Montgomery, Chester n Phila counties.
Best rides so far was Cade Cove near Townsend, TN in the Smokies and some Philly cemeteries.
Just moved to York Co, looking to explore. Winter riding is fun!

Howdy from Texas. Welcome. Put up some pics of your bike. 👍 And where you ride.

In mid-February I ordered XL frame with 3" instead of the standard 4" fat tire.
The bike arrived May 20th and I immediately began riding 30 miles between Parker Ford and Philadelphia on the Schuylkill River Trail (SRT). The 19-mile Perkiomen Trail meets the SRT about half-way in Oaks, PA. There's 10 micro-breweries around Phoenixville, and from Manayunk you can ride the 1.8 mile

Have family in Frisco and Texarkana and Schreveport. Hope to ride there soon.

Cynwyd Trail. Across the Schuylkill River the eastern part opens up to the Wissahickon Valley Park with more extensive trails.

Welcome to EBR from (Cental Pennsylvania) Snyder County. Quite a few trails east of Landcaster IIRC. We have an active group of riders in the Pennsylvania Capital Area and up into the Endless Mountains. Search "Pennylvania Rides" .

Thanks, I'll check out. Couple questions...what is "IIRC?" and Do EBR ride with non-EBRs in group activities? Thanks.

IIRC (if i recall correctly)
We are a friendly bunch, anyone who wants to ride with a group is probably welcome. EBR just makes it easier to find folks that want to ride, and people who know the local trails.

Welcome to the forum!
I'm also in PA up in the Scranton area but frequently ride trails down your way. I used to ride the Heritage Trail south of York but it now is class 1 only (no throttle). Plenty of other places to ride there though.

I'm curious, of you ride a class 3 bike using PAS the whole time and go a reasonable speed (15mph or so) do they actually enforce that? Sucks that some knuckleheads probably brought that on. I always slow way down when going around people, especially if they're walking a smaller dog..

I ride trails all over the eastern US. Most trails I ride have little or no enforcement and I have never been questioned riding my class 2 bike. A PA. DCNR Ranger told me "don't ride like an idiot and no one will bother you" So far, that has been the case.

The Heritage Trail in York is a bit of a different story. There is some enforcement on that trail. There has been a lot of discussion on the forum about it. One of our members, J.R. was active in getting the trail open to class 1 bikes after all e-bikes had been previously banned. Check out this post for more info:

Thanks for the link. So far I've mostly driven the Delaware canal trail , besides the suburban streets in my area, but now that I got an e-bike for my 14 year old son I'm looking is good bike rack so we can try out other trails.

I frequently ride the D&L Canal Trail and the D&R Trail on either side of the Delaware. Due to the drive time from home, I usually don't go any further south than Yardley, PA. Both trails are great and I've never been questioned about riding my class 2 bike.

Picking a rack for two heavy e-bikes can be a challenge. Search on "Bike Rack" and you'll get a lot of useful information.

I was actually thinking about starting to look for some today, figure might as well get ready before the weather is appropriate for it. Best ride I had this year, Well technically last year, was before I got a cold. It was like a 70° day and sunny and I went up to New Hope and back with a retired friend of mine I used to work with.

I rode Heritage 10 days ago and was not aware of class restrictions. Avg 12.5 mph 37 mi...It was sunny and cold, not much traffic.
