Customer voided the warrenty with an aftermarket throttle. End of warrenty. Washing the bike with a hose probably also did void the warrenty. Live & learn.
I'd put a $220 DD hub motor kit on it with new controller & throttle that matches it, but I can splice a wire reliably. If the battery can't be salvaged, that's a $700 problem. Magnums are hub motor bikes, it is not voodoo to replace the whole system. Replacing one part at a time, nothing matches due to software updates & supplier changes. The magnum battery has no internal computer I've heard of; salvaging it would be connecting the red & black wires to the new kit red & black wires, reliably. I use Dorman .157" bullet connectors crimped with a Klein tool on 12 or 14 ga wire. Dorman is sold at auto supplies like OReilly's.
