Hello bless day I'm new to electric bikes I'm starting to learn little by little I got into bikes to do food deliveries in the city which I enjoy when there's not a lot of traffic lol I'll attach a picture of the starter bike that I purchased on eBay which I kept it at that price range due to my budget. Since i had it I put some good mileage on it over 200 I noticed my battery is 288 Watts 8 amps 36 volts t type doesn't allow me to stay out doing food deliveries for long at all. I been utilizing it actually on walker on my food delivery apps instead of having it switched on to bicycle just because the battery couldn't keep up so I could understand this as it is a cheap bike I didn't go about making my own bike because I don't have the skill set yet. The basic problems I want to fix is I want to have a much better battery I could always use this one as a spare and after all the riding I've done I've noticed a loose hinge in the front I've attached a picture so you can see which I can get that fixed no problem at the bike shop I just want to know how much would that run me so no one me can beat me thanks. I also attached a picture of my rear wheel which is also problematic for me I don't have the experience to fix it I would like to know how much would that run me at the bike shop so they don't beat me once again I don't have experience the moment I tried to step into a bike shop they try to sell me brake pads immediately they didn't even check out the bike he just heard how my bike was sounding coming in the store he maybe right. My plan is to utilize this bike and eventually maybe possibly build my own bike or just buy a rad mini which I really would like I'm pretty sure those are reliable I'm sure any bike is reliable with good maintenance I'm looking on eBay for some batteries that's better than this one I'm trying to keep it at the 36 volt range so I don't blow the motor or mess up the controller or whatever I'm a noob anything you guys can recommend me I would appreciate that blessed day.

When I first got into ebikes the wife and I just went to look. I rode everything from a $1200 folder (forgot the name) to a $5000 BULLS mountain bike. I liked the Pedego City Commuter but was going to just going to sleep on it (money was tight at that time) and get the $1200 folder to test the waters. My wife ended up buying me the Pedego. Since you tested the water with a cheap entry into the ebike world and found that you like it, just upgrade to something with customer support. Any vehicle used for commercial use is going to take beating from just being used everyday. Oh, and I stink at fixing wheels! My shop charges around $30 to true and correctly tension the spokes on a wheel. Makes a big difference in staying true and tight from a machine built wheel. And learn to check your own brake pads. Worn pads damage rotors, adding more cost to ownership.

That's a lot of ebike for $479 seeing that it's full suspension. However, I don't care for what looks like a direct drive motor, although they say it's "toothed", and that's likely a low quality battery.

The motor/controller will work with most 36V packs. The higher the Ah rating, the better the range. Be careful with Ebay. Most of the 8AH-12AH blue PVC shrink wrapped packs there look like junk to me.

You're going to get some unknown Chinese brand cell in there with these low cost packs, and it won't have the advertised AH. The bigger worry though, is a potential fire risk, just because it's a shrink wrapped pack with no case for mechanical protection. If you were to move to a battery that attaches to the frame, you're upgrading to a better class of battery. Or talk to some better vendors about a better shrink wrapped pack. Anyway, good luck.

As far a hinges on a folding bike, make them tight! Buy a set of allen wrenchs. You don't want the hinges opening up when riding!

36 volt range
Here's some great batteries CHEAP!! I have a couple of the batts they mention from their last batch. They've been great!
Best deal around and brand name cells too!

I deleted my earlier response. after actually buying a couple of the above packs.

They are too weak for most any ebike, with only a 10A capability. They kept shutting off on my lowest power ebike. I put two in parallel for a 20A capability and it should have handled a 17A controller, but it didn't. Could be a very strict BMS or the cells were worn out.

I'm going to try it without a BMS to see if the cells are OK, and if that works, then change to a regular BMS. If the cells are bad, guess I wasted 50 bucks.
