New e-Biker from North Vancouver

I just put my order in for a CUBE Town Hybrid e-Bike. I am excited to have it built to I can use it to commute to work. Any tips on commuting or keeping my new bike in good working order?

Welcome to the site & the ecology friendly transportation.
I waxed my frame the day I got it out of the box. I used turtle wax.
I oiled the chain, shifters, cable entries, stem, pedal and crank pivots, seat post and fastener, handlebar fasteners, control pivots. I use 5 W non-detergent oil, typically type F or A ATF from the grocery, or 5 W generic hydraulic fluid from the farm supply. I use a pump oiler.
You have some salt in the air near the sea, which makes keeping metal surfaces oiled more necessary.
