My lovely wife is giving me a new beach cruiser (Retrospec Chatham 7-speed) that I am going to transfer the Voilamart front hub (48v 1000 watt) kit from the Raleigh hybrid I installed it on a couple of years ago. I have been impressed with the performance of the Voilamart kit but not with the bike l put it on. I will put the new bike under the tree for Christmas, then do the conversion afterwards. Really looking forward to it and have some fun custom ideas in mind ...

Have completed the conversion of the beach cruiser and am very happy with the results. The controller bag now has a water bottle holder inside it, which holds the controller and attaches bag to the frame, eliminating any straps. I also added the "high rise" bars for a retro look, and comfort . We live on an Island that is basically flat so

@rustydusty

So it looks like you've had this cruiser now for about a year and 4 months. do you still like it? How about a long term report for us?
