Howdy. I've been riding the Greenspeed Magnum a bit and it looked to be topping out at about 12 mph in the highest gear with the default 42 that came with the motor. I looked online and ended up ordering a 48 in the 110 BCD to swap which will give me an extra 2 mph give or take according to Sheldon Browns gear calculator (60 RPM). I got the guard off easy enough, but it doesnt look like there is enough clearance to get the offset 42 off the spyder. Do I need to remove the spyder in order to put the new chainring in the originals spot? I've never messed with bike gearing before, but like everything else it makes sense once you do it.
Also upgrading the pedals to the powergrips and got a set of Sun fenders that I'm going to adapt for the front wheels.
