54 year old decrepit/worn-out trans-ish person (please don't be mean or adversarial) Former DBMS designer/developer, mostly just low-level business logic.

I ended up getting a Rattan LF500 (and an extra battery to extend range) recently to use as primary transportation because

1- Live too far from the city bus line
2- Too poor to keep paying Uber fees
3- Heart, lungs, and leg muscles can no longer tolerate pedalling
4- Even <50cc gas powered Scooters require a driver's license (DL) here
5- Can't get a DL because of a cataract limiting my range of vision

I'm a mess ... lol Still living my best life tho. , or the best what I've done with it to date will allow.

Took it out for two rides before I had an electrical problem (REEEE, EEEEK!) but more on that later in the appropriate forum. (HALLLLLP!!!!)

I absolutely LOVED it. Managed to go about 35 miles (75% of what I usually need) in full electric mode at top speed (25 - 30 mph)

Definitely going to have to look into replacing the rear seat with a locking trunk for the extra battery/batteries after I get it running again. My old canvass saddlebags are not fun to remove and carry into places when I've parked.

I don't expect to participate much because "introverted and asocial" but since I don't understand anything at all about this tech (EV's in general) and have never been comfortable with working on electrical systems I NEED a community of "geeks" (a term of HIGH PRAISE, imo) on which to draw from when I need help or advice for repairs, upgrading, and accessories.

As to what I'd like to do with it after I get it working again. Definitely a lockable hard-shell trunk (for the extra batteries) and possibly additional storage if I need it for other stuff. Probably replace the off-road tires with on-road ones for a more energy-efficient smoother ride and filled with FlatOut tire sealant so as to not have to worry about flats due to punctures. Probably even rain-proofing as much as is possible because this is Florida, after all.
