My Tricked out XP

Some people have discouraged my updates to my bike as they called it an abomination. I call it modding and I love projects. Back in January, I had an accident on the bike crashing after a woman cut me off in traffic and claimed to not see me. Police didn't do anything and so I was left with the repairs to the bike...

When you see damages to equipment you immediately look at solutions to designs to help protect from future damage. the list below is what I've done to this point to bring the bike to functioning order and with upgrades.

Damaged parts - Now upgraded since they were already busted... total cost $300

Well done... do what makes you happy to ride! ;)

This is awesome! Your customization is worthy of it's own thread, not to get lost in some other thread. More people should start threads whether about their bike or a mod they are doing. I'll sure as s*it start a thread once mine gets powder coated orange (frame and rims) and I slap some old school BMX bars on it!

dude! Thanks! Some people made fun of me. I don’t care. I’m a modder! I may mod this thing and sell it for what I paid for the bike. I just needed a covid project! 🤣

I can't wait to see the orange powder coated frame of your bike. I wish Lectric would make some more paint color options for customers. They have lost some sales due to it.

I like seeing the mods and challenges people face. My last drive train upgrade required 10 links added to the chain due to the larger chain ring and 34t freewheel. I love this bike now and they just released a new bike. The “step-thru” which lowers the crossbar by 18”. I guess the smaller person alternative. I love what these guys are doing but if I did this again, I’d go elsewhere. I’m $1600 in already.

🤔 Not much of a recommendation.
I love the bike... if it was just the $900 absolutely happy! But after one wreck and having to upgrade and choosing to mod the repairs and upgrades. I’d get a different bike. I personally don’t think you can beat the price for the stock bike.

But it isn't the same bike after you spent all that money, is it?

I'm sure it's a great $900 dollar bike, but not a great $1600 bike. Just sayin'.
Just about every video I've seen on this bike (and there are hundreds)...NOBODY just spends $899 and calls it a day. NOBODY. They add on more on options, upgrades, and just about anything you can imagine...then they all turn around and say...the best bike under $1000 on the market. You just can't make this up. Its like the guy who buys a car and adds a ton of options that are standard on other cars and then brag about the great deal they made.

Yes. Agreed! Under $1k it’s a great bike. I modded out of pure boredom during Covid. And I had too... some parts busted. It was nice to see what an extra $750 would make it look like and ride like. I’m happy with the bike but if they straight up sold me this bike with my upgrades... I’d be looking at other options.

Do you know anyone that has bought a new motorcycle and they tell you they paid $20,000. Then they changed the handlebars, the seat, maybe the bags. another $3000 to get it the way they wanted it. but it is still a$20,000 motorcycle they just made it the way they wanted it. This is the same thing. Part of the joy of owning any bike is making it your to fit your style.

I understand, but at least you'll have the bike you wanted with upgrades. So did you add the 10 chain links to your XP for the 34t freewheel? I saw that step-thru bike Lectric is now selling. It will be a good alternative for people that need it.

I’m my photos you’ll see the chain maxed out on the low gear. Yes, I had to add another 10 links.
