Hi everyone,
Wanted to share my recent experience upgrading the stock battery on my RadRover. The original 48V 14Ah battery started cutting out under heavy loads (steep hills + throttle). After lots of research, I went with a 52V 17Ah pack from EM3ev, and here’s what I learned:
Massive range upgrade – I’m now averaging 40–50 miles per charge with pedal assist level 2.
No more voltage sag – even when climbing hills at 20+ mph.
Runs cooler – the pack barely warms up, even on 90°F days.
Yes, it was a bit pricey (~$600), but comparing the electric bike battery replacement cost to the improvement in performance and confidence? Totally worth it.
Happy to answer any questions about install, ride feel, or shipping timelines!
