My ebike & I

Thank you for accepting my request to join EBR Court.

I found the threads on here to be quite insightful as well as the YouTube channel.

Since this is my 1st ebike and my 2nd bike since childhood I thought to go with a second hand ebike.

Here's what I got today:

I took it on a 10 mile cruise this afternoon testing the throttle, different peddle assist levels and just getting back into riding a bike. Lots of fun!

I did have a glitch on the way back with the LCD screen shutting down several times. I was able to click it back in and use peddle assist uphill.

It might be the wiring or the battery housing... The battery seems to be holding power pretty well even when I got back it shows two bars after 90 mins of mixed use.

Welcome Esconomy, you’ve come to the the right place with lots of help from friendly people. It’s a Sharp looking bike. I would take it to a Rad Cory bike store and have it checked out. These people work on these particular bikes and know what causes problems. Good luck.

Sounds like contaminated contacts on the display and/or its mount. Others have reported good results with plastic friendly electrical contact cleaners. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try...

You should get a Bolton kit!

Thanks Timpo I googled the Bolton kit and watvhed a couple of videos...
They both said that it doesn't increase speed or battery performance why would I go through the hassle of doing that then?

I will check for a Rad Cory around Carlsbad California where I live.
It seems I chose the right bike after all my research, thanks to the insights I got from reading some posts on here!

As Timpo suggested, the Bolton kit will transform your eBike.
