Hello to everyone out there with an e-bike. They are great, eh?
presently I have a RAD RUNNER PLUS, to which I have added a front & rear basket(s), SunTour suspension seat post, padded seat, tire liners, expandable saddle bags, and a “2 rod” fishing rod holder. Along with an extra battery pack, these add ons have made my RRP very versatile.
I also just recently completed building a WIKE DIY cargo trailer - and it is a great addition as well. Inner dimensions are ~2’ wide x 3’ long. Since it has 20” wheels (20 x 1 3/8”) it tows smoothly and w/o very much resistance at all. To upgrade the tires - (I do not want flats “way out there”) I installed thicker thorn resistant tubes w/slime as well as tire thorn proof liners. So far no problems…
In order to transport my e-bike when I am on the road, I built a custom bike carrier which suits my needs. I also designed and constructed a “double stinger hitch” receiver so that I can not only tow my boat when I go fishing, but also haul my e-bike along as well to help with the shuttles and/or trips to store I may need to make.
i will try to add photos of each as I am able. Below is one, (which doesn’t yet have the rod carrier).
