motor slipping

my mid drive motor has stated to slip when i start out pedaling and going up steep hills anyone know what causes this?

Could it be the more commonly reported 'chain slip/skip'? This is often due to a worn chain but can be a damaged or improperly adjusted derailleur.

Which mid-dive motor do you have? How old is your ebike; year and miles?
