Mirror for Specialized Vado E-bike

I bought a Specialized E-Bike and I love it. It has become apparent a mirror is an important safety feature.
I like the Hafny Bar End bike mirror. I guess I slice off a bit of my handlebar at the end. THen there will be ahole in the tube. I put the mirror in and it expands when I tighten it. But I am a bit nervous about putting a hole in the end of my grip. Has anyone done this. What mirror would you recommend? Has anyone used this mirror?

I don't know what kind of grips are on a Vado. It has a closed-end grip and not a plug? If it is closed-ended, the best way to put a hole in the grip is to hit the end with a hammer; the handlebar will act like a knife and you end up with a nice clean cut. That said, the one's in the end of a bar are more likely to get broken. A mirror on a stalk is better in that regard; Hafny makes them also.

I put a Mircycle mirror on mine. Sliced the end with a razor and trimmed so the end would fit and seals it well against openings. Other option is to buy grips with ends and keep the originals for later use.

A motorcycle/old style bike mirror is what you want, as others have said. Something that sticks up higher than the H bars so you can see what's in it at a glance. The mirrors on the end of the bars mean you have to take your eyes well off the road to ck them. I've been buying these for years and they're perfect for my needs.
