Mark up on e-bike?

I am thinking of buying 2 Gazelles from my local bike store. How much of a mark up is there on e-bikes? Should I be able to bargain on the price or expect to pay full price? Thanks for your input!
 
Wholesale prices on Dutch made bikes just went up 25%. The groupsets, brakes, propulsion systems used to build the bike just went up 125%. The ****ese competition the wholesale prices just went up 125%. It is good bike riding weather. Shops that have inventory bought at the old price will not be in a bargaining mood. The time to bargain was February, when people were buying snowblowers and ski parkas. Tariffs were a only dark cloud on the horizon.
Additional downside, the market may radically shrink at the new prices. Many marginal bike shops will close as the rent stays the same. People will turn to selling food and beverages that are not imported. My neighborhood is ripe with tattoo parlors, vape shops, Mexican seafood restaurants, bars. None of which I buy.
The upside, gazelle is a quality brand where what you test at the shop might last a long time. Be sure the frame fits you. No bike is a bargain if it causes you pain to ride it.

Are they models already in stock with a few miles on them? I'd consider those demos, then, and you should request a demo/floor discount, esp since you're buying two.

Of course, the dealer could counter with a claim of pre-tariff import, meaning you will save as compared to an order made today automatically. So many new arguments!

Mark-up scales with purchase price, I imagine. I once found the bill of sale to the dealer for a high-end European bike I had purchased. It was an invoice for two bikes (different models) but it looked like 38%-40%. Remember, however, a lot warranty work comes out of the dealer cut + they need to make money, so there's much less to play with.

I never buy right away, and I develop an idea of sales volume. Right now is 'prime time,' BTW. If sales are slow, expect discounts.
