Mac's brake cables

Your post is very confusing. You like them or you don’t??.

These brakes came on my 2016 Trek Crossrip non eBike. I think they work quite well.

Edit: You need to be sure that you use high quality brake cables that don’t stretch easily or have excessive stiction. I believe TRP has recommendations for cables.

Yikes! Didn’t mean to offend you....
Is this better??? ”Someone needs”

Btw, did you learn your over-sensitivity from your mother, or was it your father?

Edit: Again, from your original post, I’m not sure if you like them or not. Maybe mine are acceptable because the bike that they are on is considerably lighter than a typical eBike. Not sure.....

Here’s a tech video from TRP. If “someone“ fast forwards to approximately 10 minutes into the video, they mention the recommended brake cables and how to adjust the system properly. Hope this is a help to someone.

I used one on the front of my first gravel bike conversion because it had mechanical brakes that were not sufficient to handle the extra weight of the bike after adding the motor/battery I found. They were a bit of a fiddle to mount as the calipers were wider than the stock ones mating up to my front hub motor but I prevailed in the end with some artful filing. Main reason was I didn't want the added expense of swapping out to a full hyd brifter/caliper.

My next conversion was also a front hub on a bike with cables and I used a different brand that the name escapes me now and they also worked well and fit without issues. Both performed better than the mech brakes but now I have full hyd on my latest bike. If I was in the original situation again I would not hesitate to use them again, especially because I have two sets....
