Unless you particularly don't like this bike and want to sell it, I'd give Pedego the opportunity to solve your issue. Your Element has a lengthy extensive warranty and the condition you describe should be covered. You don't indicate you purchased from a dedicated Pedego dealer. Using velofix versus going to a Pedego dealer indicates you may not have a dealer nearby. At any rate, call Pedego, either in Canada or the US and tell them you're not satisfied with the bike and want to talk to technical support. My experience with the Pedego USA technical support center and their dealers has been exceptional. They will go out of their way to make any issue right.
