Lighting on Trekking RS

The rear light has stopped working on my '14 Trekking RS. It's the one with built-in generator and Trelock front and rear lights.

I was trying to figure out the right-hand thumb switch, and I wonder if I inadvertently turned off the taillight. The front light works. I've found holding the center button for a few seconds turns the front light on and off. But what do the up and down arrows do? Does one or the other control the front and back lights separately? Do I need to hold them down for a few seconds? They don't seem to do anything.

Does the generator need to be generating for the switch to work?

I checked and with the front wheel turning, I found no voltage at the back light. If not the switch, then I need to check the wiring...

Also, there's the light switch on the Bosch Intuvia display. Does that do anything?

Thanks. The paper manual that came with my bike doesn't say anything about the lights. I found a different manual here: https://www.haibike.com/de/de. Unfortunately it says: "if you need more information on the lighting, see your dealer." It does say "If you cannot find the cause of the trouble, try supplying the current using a battery (4.5 volt). If the lamps light up, the dynamo itself might be the cause of the trouble." In my case, the front light works with the dynamo, which tells me the dynamo is working. The back light lights when I attach it to a 4.5V battery. Hence the trouble is in the switch or the wiring.

The front light is a Trelock LS 965 and the back is Trelock LS 820 Duo Flat Signal. Therefore, I suspect the switch is Trelock also.

Perhaps someone with this bike can tell me how the switch works.

LOL, sorry dude. Thought you were just being REALLY lazy. ;)

I tried to find out about retrofitting the new "run off the main battery" lighting to my FS RX and never got an answer.

Found the answer. Here's a graphic of the control: https://sites.google.com/a/currietech.com/help/haibike/haibike-trekking/3-documents/lighting

The handlebar switch has three modes: Off, Blue, and Green. One can cycle through the modes by holding down the center button. The front light has two lights: Main and "Adaptive" (a light that stays on for a few minutes after stopping). In the Green mode, the Main and Adaptive lights are on. In the Blue mode, the Main, Adaptive, and Rear lights are on. The control indicates the mode by the color it glows (which you can see in the dark). The up and down arrows brighten or dim the Adaptive light. (Don't these controls seem unnecessarily complicated?)

In my case, I will trace the wiring to determine why the rear light doesn't operate.

Turns out the wire to the rear light rubbed against the rear tire long enough to go through the copper. So I re-connected the wires, and now the rear light works again.
