Lectric Lite on Amazon

A friend that owns a Lite forwarded a link this morning. My response was "hmm...that's interesting". I really have no opinion, only genuine curiosity from a marketing perspective.

I have the same general broad-brush impression of Amazon e-bikes that I have about bikes sold at Walmart: They're not necessarily bad, but tend to be little known Chinese units with goofy, WTF branding like "TotGuard" and Leadzm". Given the success of Lectric's independent marketing efforts, I'm a little surprised to see them on Amazon. Admittedly, I have no idea what percentage of sales goes to Amazon for hosting. Any thoughts?

I'd be happy to buy directly from Lectric again. We have had good customer service from them.

I just wonder if Amazon can deliver quicker with their vast shipping network.

That's a good point. I'm in northern New England, so on the opposite end of the country from Lectric's Arizona headquarters. My Lite took a week to 10 days from Arizona as I recall. Not bad, but Amazon shows 4 to 5 days for delivery, and possibly less opportunity for shipping fumbles.
