LBS Ads on EBR page--non-local, unexpected, etc.--is this a glitch?

I noticed that my two local bike shops are no longer listed at the bottom of the EBR page even if I put in my local zip code. They always used to be the first two shown, but now all I get are shops in adjacent states. Does this mean my local shops no longer pay or participate in EBR?

I noticed the same thing. There are no nearby shops listed and none in my state.

I don't know why this happens, but I've noticed these sorts of glitches also--for a period of time there were no local bike shops on the EBR I saw, for example. And, today, I see none in my city, but three in different neighboring states.

I'll tag @Court and @Angela M. here, so they can be informed, as well as making the thread title more specific to catch attention of EBR webmaster, etc.

Since others are getting the same error, it is apparently a website bug … not an indication that my local shops are no longer participating with EBR. Assuming that LBS's have to pay EBR for the privilege of being listed, I suspect this bug does not make them too happy. For the sake of the local shops, hopefully EBR will fix it sooner rather than later. After all, in northern hemisphere, we are in the prime e-bike buying season when potential customers are now researching what and where to buy.

This appears to be fixed … I am sure the local bike shops appreciate having their ads show up again.

FYI-If you are using a VPN on your computer network, local shops will not show up due to automated IP address and random servers changing.

Well, they should still show up if you put in your explicit zip code in the "Find my location" field. It is all working OK now, but when this was first posted, you got out of state ads even when you entered your zip code.

My local shops show up, All except for my CLOSEST Shop which is a JAMIS Dealer ... Green River Cyclery 205 East First Street in Dixon Illinois. ?

Maybe they aren't paying a required fee to be included ... I don't really know how EBR selects the LBS's to be included in their listings, but it would seem reasonable that they may charge a fee. If I owned a LBS that sold electric bikes, I would definitely want to be listed on this site, as it is one of the first places people look when they are researching for an ebike purchase.

fee.

Yep, you're right. Since he doesn't really deal in E bikes, but mainly traditional and Road bikes I doubt he'd pay the fee. ?

The local bike listings are ads. In my area there are lots of bike shops and most seem to be listed.
