Kalkhoff Agattu Nexus 7 speed

Unfortunate owner of a Kalkhoff Agattu with Bosch motor.
The Nexus cable broke and appears was faulty from new.
Purchased new cable and expected to push it through and connect to Nexus.
Apparantly the Nexus cable outer is not continuous.
Do I have to pull the motor off or what is the secret to getting the cable through.
I live 600km/360miles in a rural village from the nearest dealer and have found everybody including the Derby factory unhelpful. The Derby factory replied but told me they couldn't help me, had no service manual or anything else and completely unhelpful. Overall this electric bike has been a bit of a disaster of reliability. Have searched the Internet and cannot find any information on changing the cable.
Any information prior to stripping the bike would be sincerely appreciated.

Oh nooo:eek:
Watch this for suggestions;

Thanks for your reply, sadly none will work. The tube is not contiguous. I actually did think of tying a piece of cotton on prior to pulling out the old cable, but it wouldn't go into the end of the tube even though it was very thin cotton. Will have to look at stripping the motor off.
Owning this Derby Cycles Kalkhoff has been an unmittagated disaster. Sadly 'Made in Germany' today means not as good as 'Made in China'.
My inexpensive Chinese electric bicycle didn't give any trouble at all in the time I owned it.

Thankfully all done. Has an electrical switch in the middle of the cable in the downtube. No way are you likely to get the new inner cable through without pulling the motor unit out. Really is a poor design. Nothing secures the outer cable into the electrical device either side and really fiddly job to get all back together again with the outer cable sheath pulling out the unit.
In future will stick to Asian electric bicycles. The Taiwanese electric bicycles with Panasonic motors and batteries are definitely superior quality and design to these Derby Kalkhoff bicycles.

That most probably is the torque sensor switch, which cuts the motor power when you change gear
So are you now up and running again?

Thankfully yes, fully up and running. If they had put a tiny little bit more thought into the design of the torque sensor switch, they could have made it a breeze so the cable would go straight through when it had to be replaced. Only needed a little extra plastic on the moulding inside to 'steer' the cable into the other side.
Hopefully in the future the bike will be more reliable than it has been. Comfortable bike to ride. The only other thing that frightens me if it ever needs repairing is the hydraulic brake system. The brakes do work well as the town live in has *steep* roads and nearly no flat areas.
