Just ordered Ride 1 up 700

When we ordered our R1U 700 Step Over earlier this year, we accidentally received a step-thru model. Step overs had gone out of stock, and we decided to keep the step-thru. It had the lightly swept-back handlebars.
I'm 6'4" tall, and couldn't even ride the bike for more than a couple of miles as it was way too cramped for me.
When I got my 5'6" tall wife to try it, she really didn't like the riding position either - but she was used to her other bikes with straight bars.
Just so that we wouldn't eventually have to only use the bike for friend/family visitors, I bought a set of straight handlebars on Amazon for less than $20. It made all the difference and now my wife loves it. It is now in the normal rotation of bikes she chooses to ride on any specific day.
So it does not sound like you are too tall for the step thru. But depending on what you want, or what you are used to, you may or may not like the swept back handlebars. If you do, then great. If you don't, it is cheap and easy to change them.
All in all a great e-bike.
