Thanks to everyone on the forum, I decided on the Juiced CCX a while back (one of the first pre-order batches).
Want to give back and provide some feels on the bike after my first 60 miles (from commuting; 15 miles each way, 2 full trips):
- Well built, heavy battery (and bike), front fenders are hard to align (still deciding whether or not to take it off because it hits the front wheel with every bump)
- I kept my riding on R setting 100% of my miles, with maybe 3 miles on throttle (mostly flat), my estimate is that battery lasts around 30 miles with this condition (less than what I was expecting)
- Back-lights aren't hooked up with the controller upfront, a little cumbersome to adjust
- Throttle reacts slowly at times. I wondered a few times if there was a malfunction
- Brakes do VERY well
- Transitioning quickly between throttle and pedal-assist introduces resistance of some kind (I assume from the rear-wheel hub or the controller). Though only briefly (probably around 2-3 seconds), need to be aware of it when starting from intersections (or somewhere that needs more immediate response) to accommodate accordingly.
Conclusion thus far:
- SUPER FUN! Power kicks in smoothly, best e-bike i've ridden! Though battery lasts less than what I expected, it simply outclasses 2-3 other e-bikes I've tested. If you're looking to commute fast but get some sweat in, this is definitely a great choice.
Hope it helps for anyone that's in the market, and above all, thank you EBR and everyone on the forum.
I will report back after more miles!
PS QUESTION: How do i hand signal when I try to merge from the bike lane (shoulder of road) to the center of the road to avoid the right turn lane?
