Is it possible to set PAS 1 as default setting?

Hi,

When I power on the bike the PAS is 0. I would like to set this to 1 as default setting and it should remain as PAS 1 all the time. I use throttle all the time and rarely pedal.

I've been through all the settings with a Lectric tech, and have not seen any way to default something that isn't one of the configurable settings (even though Lectric now has most of the settings locked down.) I suspect this is part of the controller's ROM, and and to change it would mean reprogramming the ROM chip. If it's an EEPROM you could probably do it (read/download the EEPROM contents, identify which code segment sets the PAS to "0" upon startup, and edit and rewrite the altered code back to the chip.) If it's a write-once PROM, you'd have to burn the modified code onto a new chip and swap it for the one in the controller. All in all, probably nothing most riders wouId want to tackle!

You could call Lectric and ask them to burn a new ROM for you with the startup PAS defaulting to "1", but my guess is they'd probably decline, citing safety concerns dictated by the corporate attorneys...

Thanks for the info. It is too much work.

I can just select PAS 1 using UP arrow everytime. This would take less than 1 second then EEPROM permanent change to the CHIP.
